Wow this is sad. Wonder how this will impact the product. How common is this behavior in gaming? Traditional tech any better? https://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-riot-games-gender-discrimination-investigation-20190612-story.html
Gaming industry is known for rampant sexism.
Not surprising that Riot continues to screw this up, the whole company is a mess internally. Weak leadership, poor accountability and a talent system that only cares about avoiding law suits rather than looking after their employees.
Please leave if you actually believe that <3
Don't worry, I won't be there much longer. I genuinely do believe everything I posted above and have run out of patience waiting for leadership to get their shit together. Riot would be a much more attractive home if it acknowledged it's problems rather than sweeping it all under the rug and requiring blind allegiance. Blocking any internal discussion and scaremongering against organizing. The company has changed a lot in the last 5 and a half years and now no longer something I can be proud to be a part of.
Culture is the hardest thing to change. It will take years for things to get better but if good people leave it will be that much more difficult. Hoping they can turn things around.
Woah, carrot top works at riot?
