Hey Blinders!
I’ve been using this resume for a while and I really need a good resume roast. I see some traction with certain companies but I want to improve and optimize.
This resume targets marketing roles within Tech industry.

Please roast it! I’m very open minded and always strive to improve.

PS: also, if your company/team is looking for a great tech marketing person, please DM me 😎

Thank you!

Too long :) First page is enough and should include all info required for position. Don’t bother with career highlights, just include skills and recent work experience. Your resume will be read in like 15 seconds (and I’m very generous here), optimize for that.

For other pages, they don’t matter. Nobody reads them. You can replace them with Lorem ipsilum and no one will notice.

Thank you for the feedback! I always struggle so much with what to include and what not include, it’s always a dilemma. For the “recent work experience” do you think top 3 positions are enough? My biggest concern is that ppl will think i have a 3 years of work experience because I officially graduated with masters in 2017...but I worked during bachelors and masters in the industry so it’s at least 6 yoe and It’s quite confusing for many.

You can just do 1 line for other work experience - company name, title and year

  • Def bring it down to one page. Also, try to reduce each bullet to 1-2 lines, and have no more than 5 bullets each. Best would be maximum 3 bullets. 💯 no one reads large paragraphs. If including a bio bit, also reduce that to 1-2 lines. Convey the business impact of your role, not just what you did.

Also, a little bit of design critique too, if ur going to left align ur bullets, ur titles should also be left aligned. If ur using white on grey, double check if the contrast is high enough for accessibility reasons. That grey box in the upper left is consuming a lot of valuable vertical space. If I glance at the page and my eyes can’t immediately find where u worked and what position you were, there’s a bit of an issue with the hierarchy. There’s a ton of spacing between your bullets too. Knock the body text down to a lighter black so it helps your titles stand out more.

Also idk what that thing in the upper right corner is

Thank you sooooooo much for such a constructive criticism! I appreciate the feedback!

That thing in upper right corner is a Blind’s own bug/feature, when you click to open the image, it disappears.

      Again, thanks a lot!

    A bit long.
    - That first summary could be shorter
    - Experience points could be cut down to the most important contributions
    - Why not mentioning the degrees area and uni?

Try make it one page. Max 2 if needed.

Thank you so much! I have hidden uni specifics for blind, of course in my actual resume both names of unis and degrees are there
