did insiders form an unofficial group and pump the stock 100% to attract outside retailers and then sell their RSUs/equity options at better price ? Not sure what’s going on, I hope Robinhood will not endup as the biggest financial scam in the history. It made a good chunk of amount from DOGE coin and now using that money to pump HOOD stock. A disaster IPO day with a lot of -Ve sentiment is now spiking up. Feeling like “how secure our markets are?” looking all these GME , AMC , HOOD and Reddit things 😭 #robinhood #hood @robinhood @hood
Just read all the hate from Reddit subs r/stocks, wallstreetbets, superstonk, wallstreetbetsnew
I haven’t heard of any unofficial group and it would be against insider trading! I don’t think insiders were buying even more shares to pump the stock, given that we already have existing equity grants to get more shares I’m glad to see others recognizing the value of Robinhood though!
may be your CEO knows on what he did with the returns gained on DOGE being one of the largest DOGE holders :-) .. at an ordinary employee level like us, not much influence we can do. Hope your biggies also as transparent and as fair like yours :-) hope all is positive!
it’s easy to look at Robinhood and dislike it, especially given all the media attention but don’t forget about the impact it has had on retail traders and market participation: over the last 5 years, NASDAQ is up 3x and S&P is up 2x and as retail traders, we benefitted from that I know 10 years ago, I hesitated to put $1000 or even $100 into the market because I had to pay $5.99 per trade Without Robinhood, many of us would not be as invested in the markets and would not have benefitted from that growth I much prefer what we have today than to go back to a fee per trade and have fewer people participate in the market and benefit from the economic growth!
Are you new to IPOs? They're always super volatile
Not new, but Robinhood pattern is quite opposite to the recent IPO trends :-)
Wah my speculating didn’t make me free money
GME and AMC are two of the biggest collusion and market manipulation scams in history. Yet no one was charged for anything or being stopped from pumping other meme stocks.
I have started naked shorting HOOD
Don’t believe you. Show your order
conspiracy theory at its best. lol.
Is blind the new place for wsb posters who don't have enough karma to post there?
Twas options. Adding options means the sellers need to hedge and that likely drove a lot of buying.

I’m pretty sure insiders have restricted trading windows.
restricted trading window for insiders is pretty standard and basic requirement per SEC. What if they form a group outside of Robinhood like another Reddit and pump the stock from Brothers / parents account. I knew it’s also a violation, but there is no stringent process to identify such actions at present which leads to all the scam like doings.
SEC actually does catch these things sometimes. It’s not worth it. Also a few people aren’t going to be able to pump the stock like that. You need hundreds of millions of dollars in trading volume, if not billions.
