Robinhood vs Rippling (New Grad)
I got new grad offers for Robinhood and Rippling: Robinhood, Menlo Park Salary: $135k + 10% annual bonus => $148.5K One-time bonuses: $30K sign-on + $6K relocation = $36K Stock: $175K RSUs over 4 years, vested quarterly TC: $228K first year, $192K recurring Rippling, San Francisco Salary: $135K Relocation: $5k Stock: 13.5K ISOs over 4 years, at stock price of $19-$20 based on valuation of $4-5B (idk they were vague), strike price of $1.75, and assuming 15% dilution So ~$195K/4 at the valuation they are using TC: ~$185K if you count the options, otherwise just $135k #engineering #software #swe Rippling doesn’t seem to have plans to IPO anytime soon and I don’t really want to commit to any company for 5-6 years. Still looking to optimize for TC and growth and ideally not have terrible WLB, though it doesn’t have to be perfect. Think RH is the safer move, but I know many recommend pre-IPO unicorns to start your careers and I kinda missed the boat on RH. Would I be making a bad choice by declining Rippling right now?
Wow I canmt believe RH is paying that much for new grads. I’m either under paid or they gave you a fat offer

You don’t have to stay until IPO, once you exercise your options, it is yours
If you want rapid growth, come to Rippling; Robinhood will give you more structure though. Optimizing for first-year TC is pretty dumb as a new grad but if you want to do that go to HRT/Jane Street etc.
What are the refreshers you get at Rippling ?
I had offers from exact same companies, but ended choosing Rippling purely for growth purposes.
