Roblox beats TC of Google/FB?
From few sources I have heard that Roblox matches or even exceeds Google/FB TC for Sr. Level Engineers and PMs. Roblox has very high base salary and very good equity component, they are pre-IPO. Has anyone heard about Roblox or worked there?
I talked to a recruiter there. He told me his job was literally to recruit teenage millionaires. They only have user generated content, so all devs are paid by in app purchases of mini games.
That refers to recruiting the content makers right? What about eng comp?
I'd like to know, have a referral there. I assumed the pay was normal, not high-end. How do you value the RSUs / options? If they says it's $100k / year how much do you value the paper money?
I know former ppl who worked there ( incl VP eng ), I think pay is normal base but high illiquid stock. Maybe someone else can comment But context, they’re making like Fortnite money over there.

there is no way they could match, unless you are talking about with their pre-ipo paper money. true that they MAY ipo, but their game looks like shit and I would puke everyday if I work on it.
Well they just raised a ton of money and it seems like they’re flexible on cash comp to buy out invested RSUs for the right talent.
The TC(60-80 percentiles range) at FB/GOOG == Base salary at Roblox Additionally, they provide RSUs which periodically company may buyback giving you liquidity.
