I recently interviewed for IC3. The coding interview I thought went best was one where I didn't pass. I made sure to communicate actively, draw in coderpad when needed etc. and synced with interviewer at each step. The interviewer was happy with algorithm which was optimal and gave a green signal to code. They did propose an alternate for which I mentioned possible issues and they agreed. I coded with my approach before time and ran different test cases and code worked fine. The interviewer added a test case too which worked. Feedback I received from recruiter for this round didn't make any sense. What could have gone wrong?

I've solved a question using Breadth First Search and the interviewer clearly only looked at the Depth First Solution. Both are correct, and both had the same time complexity, so, I just guessed wrong. That's luck
Try again in a few months if you feel like.
I don't think there is an official cool down period. Definitely try again in 6 months.
