I have read articles about meta Budget cuts and Google cloud support layoffs . But i see the Google atleast has been performing well. Wanted to understand the first hand experience of people.. is this something that's gonna take route to mass lay offs?

Don’t mix up Meta and others. Meta is going through a lot. Maybe do a post just on them to gather specific comments

Yeah starting to see why Hulu is passed on... Although to be fair alot of the new DS's are not exactly the best and brightest in their field idk how SOME got through screening they'll be out next PSC (next year) and yeah some teams get budget cut all the time... Lol 😂 that's called business, don't join a dumb team when you get in join a good team, be good enough to be able to choose from the best teams

Just an FYI, the E3/$4 positions are limited and get filled usually early.

Meta took away carry out food boxes for a couple of weeks to cut costs, which they reverted after a lot of complaints.

That so called news was an anonymous post on blind. Sounds like a trustworthy source, don’t you think?

😂 that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard @cisco if that's the case why would anyone join Cisco with literally less than 1% growth since 2019, which is impressive that Cisco actually got devalued during the pandemic seeing as how their main business is networking products, you want to talk about a disappointment of a stock fb, even with the crash is still up over 100% in the same time frame. But I am actually starting to see how Cisco and WebEx got their lunch money stolen by basically unheard of zoom when it was Ciscos time to shine like it was 2003-7 all over again.

If meta verse is a hit then $FB will 5x. If it flops then expect massive layoff in their FRL division though the core divisions should not be impacted too much

Do you think the Oculus is the extent of Metaverse offerings? Lowered hiring bar over there at LinkedIn if you think that. Like people saying the Nokia brick was the final stage of the cell phone...

Not at Google. It was a targeted reduction aimed at reducing overhead for a specific area. Not all of support was impacted. Based on the reaction GCP customers had I don’t see the execs wanting to do another set of 1:1s with customers over it.
