Quick tip- Researching about interview process would help while bluffing.
Flagged by the community.
I interviewed at Meta and I found it robotic. No one cares what youโve done in the past just how fast you can solve an expression tree or reverse a linked list. And thatโs what you call a bar? Google was somewhat better, but no way on earth Iโm waiting to be subjected to the team matching and then lowballed when I have other offers at hand.
I interviewed with mid tiers like Hashicorps and Elastisch Search and the interviews were similar but easier than Amazon mainly because it didnโt have the long onsites and so many LPs, you think their bar is lower because they donโt interview like FAANGs? โฆ just get out of your bubble guys. A whole world exists outside it.
Iโm just trying to objectively rank the difficulty of the interview (not speaking about the quality of engineers). Letโs not forget there is no LC interview for people who work at R&D at most of these companies and arguably make the most impact.
To others: a lot of pips at amazon are political. it usually has nothing to do with your performance. unless you know the manager, stay away from this toxic company.
I took a 60% raise when I joined and have been very happy with my time at Amazon.
