Rude infosys interviewer

My spouse is nurse and she is making career change due to physical injury. She self learned java, testing, scrum fundamentals along with few certifications. She had very bad experience with infosys in recent interview for entry level generic software position . One lady out of 4 panel interviewers was extremely rude from the start of the interview and when my spouse mentioned that she just has basic understanding of python language and not very skilled in it but very strong skill in java as part of her background details. That lady(Amruta Mujumdar)said with dominating voice ,” you have to answer python question which i ask even if you are not comfortable because you mentioned in your resume“ and she forced her to answer 10 python questions and for the whole interview she was keep on texting someone on the phone. Other interviewer asked java questions and she could answer most of them. I agree if you mentioned in your resume any skills, then you are expected to answer but if candidate is being honest about her expertise, I don’t think there is any reason for being adamant and rude, not considering for job is different thing. @infosys please train your interviewer well and teach them basic human skills required for interviewing. P.S : I have interviewed lot of folks and would never encourage this kind of behavior. #tech #interview #infosys

Lol. Ask your wife to ask that lady a question she won't answer. Most of those infy employees are fake. Tell your wife not to worry. She will get good job somewhere

After interview when she documented and searched questions online for future learning. All questions interviewer asked was word to word from some random link like “top 10 interview questions for python”. So i agree interviewer herself won’t know shit.

I totally agree with you lesson learned . But as coming from different background it’s quite challenging to get interview calls.

(sorry off-topic, but OP your original post has a different username and this comment is from another username. Same company though. How?) Agree on comments though.

And if the candidate is really honest, why should python be mentioned on the resume..

T-Mobile vally Nov 9, 2021

She mentioned as basic understanding of python language and told upfront that not very skilled in it.

Why list Python if she only has basic understanding?

T-Mobile vally Nov 9, 2021

Even if you mentioned and if interviewer asked question on it and if interviewee says that he/she doesn’t know much. That ends there and worst case you don’t offer a job. You don’t have to act dominating and force questions.

Think about it in the interviewer’s perspective. She prepared questions for this interview because python was listed in the resume and she thought it’s important skill for the job. Suddenly on the interview day, the skill candidate listed in her resume is not a “skill” for her. There is next interviewer after you and you can’t end early. What would you do

Li search by that name yields one single Infosys employee out of Sydney who happens to be a tester, most probably manual all her life. Going by that and she is from Infosys quite frankly there is a high possibility your wife still knows more python over her despite her limited experience.

Exactly. I personally interviewed lot of infosys folks most of them are fake, pathetic

Its a shady company, you dont want to work there.

95% companies are shady against Google.

Fun fact. Infosys had paid multi million dollars to settle a lawsuit. Google Jay Palmer Infosys. That should help you to understand them a bit better.

It was not just Infosys doing this visa exploit, it was the whole WITCH clan. While i do agree that they do have good engineers they are probably in the ratio of 1:10 of them. Rest are pretty much sucking upto their managers or manager/leads themselves. Nowhere else would you have a team of 2 engineers and 3 people leading/managing them.

WHY? would someone actively want to look for a job in Infosys? Stay away from WITCH. Get a job at a startup and then move to FAANG
