I have 2 offers in hand from Apple and Amazon for Hardware Engineering related roles.
Amazon Lab126 is a significantly higher pay but work at Apple feels more rewarding.
Wanted some inputs on culture and work at Amazon.
Amazon:
Level: L5
Base: 160k
Bonus: 95k, 75k ( year 1 and 2)
RSU: 60 stocks over 4 years
TC for 1st year: ~ $265k
Apple:
Base: 150k
Bonus: Sign on 45k
RSU: 100k
TC for 1st year: ~$220, second year onwards $175k
Thank you in Advance!
Edit:
Went with Apple, though it pays less, had a better vibe with the team there. Will see how it goes, there’s always the GTFO option in case it doesn’t work out :)
Thank you for all the feedback!

Their complaints were that apple was too siloed, lots of duplicate work going on, and lack of centralized infra
Hardware they experiment with a bunch of stuff from what I’ve seen… there’s the Alexa ring… and then that new robot
Also, yr2 apple will give refreshers and your TC would be >200k.
You should go ahead with Amazon for 2 years .
Apple your yr1 and yr2 TC is around 205k.
Too big of a difference to leave on the table. Apple the wlb is bad as well for many teams. Just try to find out from someone how your amzn team culture is. You only need to be there for 2 years.
