Be it K-12 or college, what was the worst thing about school? #college #school #university #highschool #education #k12
Having to move at the pace of the class. If all education was going through coursework yourself and being able to reach out to a teacher 1:1 if needed it'd be significantly better.
Class. So I never went, partied, and dropped out after 5 years. TC 400K YOE 13
Could have had that tc at 6 yoe if you went to class
Generation inequality. During prom or other formal events it’s basically a parents TC race. you see all the rich kids dressed up nicely in their $500 rented tux gifted from their parents, while they are judging you for your $50 thriftshoped suit from goodwill that you worked 3 day overnight shifts to afford
One benefit of growing up in a mostly uniformly poor town was that this was not a problem for us lol
Bullying, promoted and accepted by teachers and staff. Being tacitly taught that it was ok. Tc 270k, yoe 8
Low quality of students and teachers in public school
It’s the fact that you had to go to class from 8AM to 3PM and then (if applicable) you had football/soccer/sports practice from 3PM-6PM and then you go home at 7, at dinner and only then started 3-4 hours of damn homework. Did this 5 days a week. Looking back, only now do I realize how absurd that schedule was. I can’t even do that now
Sports practice sounds like a luxury. I had a similar schedule but also had a part time job.

PE class. "Ok, I'll just write down zero pullups". No follow up discussion regarding physical fitness in general, let alone ways someone might hypothetically try to improve. Only shame.
Yeah, I had a lot of issues. Have always been physically weak
