What is Infosys doing wrong? Sure I make 3x more than an average dev at Infosys but why is that abuse? They are paying more than whatever DoL/USCIS has set as minimum wage. They have more applications because they work with hundreds of different clients/companies. I feel this non-stop hatred towards WITCH companies is spread mostly by ignorant people who are just looking for someone to blame for their life problems.

True. Also I'm not sure how someone in a backlog for a decade is responsible for correcting everything done by companies from their country of birth. If there were no country caps, no one would dare propose country caps. This simply illustrates how unfair the current way of doing things is.

Although I may not approve of passing insults, their frustration is very understandable. Their lives are affected every single day, such as not having the choice to be able to live with their family or even visit their family due to visa red tape and random closures, and imagine when this happens during the worst times of their lives, such as the times we are living in right now with the pandemic and arbitrary processing hurdles being created to prevent visas from being issued. I have heard many people not being able to be with their family even during their last moments due to visa issues. All this happening to them while they have invested their entire lives in US, paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes, while seeing everyone else get in a free pass, those that never even stepped into the country have a GC guaranteed due to country of birth privilege. In software, there is a very basic concept called minimum viable solution. It's basically this: you design the simplest possible solution that can run, and do incremental changes to make it better once it's been shipped. You can't have developers working on a solution for years and not have any progress else they'd be fired.
To be honest, people knew this but chose to accept it. This problem is not new. People have choices, there are many other countries to chose like Australia, Canada, UK etc but you have to ask why despite easy immigrations to these other countries, Indians still chose to go to US en mass?
