Hi Everyone,

Got an offer for visa inc. staff network engineer in highlands ranch - Denver. Assuming it’s I6. Need help in evaluating this.

Base 120K
Year end bonus - 10%
No joining bonus or rsu

YOE - 5 in network engineering
Total - 6.5 yrs

Any room for negotiation?

    Yes offer is super low

    Senior engineer

    140k base 70k per year RSU ( I had multiple offers)

    Maybe you won't get RSU without competing offers but should be able to get 140k base

    This is the problem. Desperate people joining and killing the market for others. Man / Woman up and ask for what the market is at. Stop selling yourself low for heaven’s sake.

    It's not good for Denver , it's not really.. ppl don't understand how expensive Denver has gotten and everyone is giving good money..

    If you are going to negotiate, you better have a damn good justification for more money. You can't just ask for more. You have to have a competing offer or supporting argument

    Try to push base beyond 130K and ask for sign on. Of course they're less likely to increase comp if you don't have competing offers. Yes, staff positions are I-6 at visa, this was informed by my recruiter. I have outstanding offer for the similar staff SWE position. Feel free to dm if you have any more queries.
