Went through two rounds of interview with Senior Directors. And, they both started assigning me after hiring work/tasks in interview as if I’m already hired. They shared salary and day to day tasks etc. Then no answer after my interview. I had to reach out to them to for application status - Finally, they said they’re rejecting my application. seems like terrible leadership at SAP - as they’re showing beautiful/rosy picture to a cnaditate and lying on top of it. please comment or share any experiances about SAP leadership. thank you. #engineer #interview #it
Why is that a terrible experience? I wish I was given all that information during interviewing processes. A job interview isn't a one way street. I also need to assess if the day to day of the position I'm applying to matches what I'm looking for. Afaik the US has regulations about who cna discuss financial aspects with candidates, but the day to day tasks thing? I wish more companies were more upfront and open about that
Terrible - the way they spoke as if I got the work. For example, you will be architecting so and so clients, this will be your salary and this is how you’ll be working etc. after all this, they quietly rejected my profile behind the scenes. To me, as a leader why talk so much and beat around the bush, when you’re not planning to hire someone. It’s waste of time. Thank you so much for your comment. Appreciate it.
Imo, anything that's being said in an interview has the unspoken "in case we make you an offer that you accept". So basically "you'll be doing so and so in case...". Maybe they should have said that specifically, to make it absolutely clear. And also, sometimes interviewers don't know in the moment. Or the person who said these things listed you as "hire" but other interviewers didn't. Generally speaking, there is a list of topics that the team agrees upon they want to cover with every candidate. You want to keep the experience as consistent as possible. So most likely, they said the exact same things to everyone
