Currently working as Sr. SAP functional Analyst, (no consulting), TC 140K. My employer is offering me to move into PMO as Sr. Project Manager with TC 155K. Does this transition make sense? I understand that SAP skillset isn't sought after in current job market too much, so changing might make sense, at the same time being a project manager not sure about the future prospects. Does this career transition opens doors in future or am i further boxing myself in a corner? YOE:10
1. More Responsibilities, more corporate BS, more head aches, more hours , just for $$ difference? Don’t know man... if you move , at least should worth it. Simple math .
I am interested in moving up in my career and make more $, yes. As a SAP analyst there arent many options to move up. What i do not know is if taking the PM job is the right way to do it.
