I was invited to an onsite interview with SAP SuccessFactors in VA for a software engineer position, but haven’t heard much about the company. If you worked there or currently work there, what’s the TOC for that position for someone with 1-2 YOE? What is the company culture like? Would you recommend it?
It might be a good opportunity for someone like you and worth checking out. Much of SuccessFactors Engineering went through a significant reorg in April losing many senior people and change processes. Go in with your eyes wide open. I would expect things to continue to get worse before they get better. I've found SuccessFactors eng pays less than other large companies. Culture is nice for work/life balance, but expect a heavy top down expectation of what/how something should be developed. Finger pointing when unforeseen problems arise has been rampant in the past.

You guys do any work while on notice period?
Reston? What product?
Yes, Reston. Not sure what product I’ll be working on exactly, but it sounds like it’ll be mobile related.
