I received a verbal offer from SAP for the position of "Developer", Palo Alto. In my verbal offer - Base: 111k. Annual bonus: 11k RSUs: 30k (not sure how much is vest period, it is not mentioned yet) Meal plan: $6.5/day (but I read somewhere that there are free meals at SAP office) I'm joining after my masters and have a work ex of ~2 yrs before my MS. 1. Any idea if relocation and joining bonus is there or not? 2. Also is there a point in negotiation? I feel this offer is on a lower end. 3. Are the RSUs at SAP vested over 1 year or 3 years? Thanks!
Good offer for new grad...
Ask for at least 5x RSUs
I guess that's too ambitious
His TC is 130k. It’s 2017, he’s got a masters and 2 years of exp. When I got out of grad school in 2014, I had 1 year of experience and my TC was 180k.
Low
What, started with 90k + 10k as Developer
Which year?
He has 2× years exp and a grad degree... and it's 2017
2 Year’s before masters .. they don’t consider that as a real experience
Ok. But my job profile says 3+ years of work ex needed, and they have decided to move forward with me. So I thought it matters.
Are you the OP? You should really go find competing offers to negotiate
For your third question, RSUs are vested over 3 years. And you can get them every year.
Ok, thanks. Just that it was not explicitly mentioned on email.
Ask for relocation expenses. You should be getting 5k
I asked. They didn't agree.
I mentioned that I had a competing offer. But it didn't help. But the culture looks good to me.
