Friend stuck in Spain

My friend who lives in London (on a visa) had to travel to Spain for work. There his passport was stolen.

Does he have to return back to India or anyway he can travel back to London?

Any other suggestions in this situation?

    Not via land. He needs to take a paddle boat and come via cape of good hope to the shores of Bombay. Beware of those pirates.

    Alternatively he can just contact Indian embassy in Madrid.

    File a police report in Spain
    Contact Indian embassy in Spain, show police report and get a passport.
    Contact the uk embassy in Spain and tell them about the lost passport with UK visa. But i would take the UK employers guidance to navigate this issue

      All of this is correct, but if your friend was on a stamped Visa and doesn’t have a residence permit, it can be extremely frustrating navigating UKVI to re-enter. He will likely have to spend quite a bit of time and money to get priority slots and stay in Spain until it’s all sorted, or go back to India and try from there.
