I recently wrapped up an onsite interview at Google and was informed a week later that it went really well from my recruiter and that the next stage is meeting with hiring managers. I have just over 9 YOE. 6 as a startup founder and 6 as an software engineer at Fortune 100 companies. I also interviewed on site wirh Amazon [yesterday] and think it went well. At what stage will I know what level / TC I'm being considered for and what seems like a reasonable ask given my experience? Thx in advance.
Google HR will verbally tell your TC before sending for paper. But sometimes they adk before on site interview and set the TC. Typically TC will be negotiating for GSU/RSU.
You can ask your recruiter about level, they should be able to share that. TC will come later, but if you know the level you can easily find pay bands by searching Blind.
That's my plan. I'm more interested in knowing if you have any insight into what level I might anticipate based on YOE and at when in the hiring process is level negotiable.
> I have just over 9 YOE. 6 as a startup founder and 6 as an software engineer at Fortune 100 companies. Your maths skills are shyte. Don’t expect a very high level.
👎🏻
Down thumb as much as you like but 6 and 6 won’t make 9 ever
Depends, what was your startup?
PM'd you
