New to SF, never taken public transport and office is near DogPatch.
What would you prefer ? I plan to rent housing accordingly

I do not plan to stay in SF city or Oakland. Also, prefer commute time to be < 45 min, end to end.

The biggest pro of covid is I have not taken BART in years. Embarrassing for a first world country let alone tech capital of the world

BART can be a dump and gross. But it is super fast. However they’re modernizing CalTrain so soon it will operate more like a regional metro service similar to those in Europe

Caltrain for sure. No bart stations are within reasonable walking distance to dogpatch but you can easily walk from two caltrain stations.

  Dogpatch and mission bay are both pretty safe imo. You’d be walking through both depending on which Caltrain station you get off on.
