SF Bay Area to Medium CoL Denver/SLC/Portland
We might need a bigger place and any 4bed+ SFH in Bay Area in a good neighborhood within reasonable commuting distance is $2.5M+. On looking up SLC area, Denver, can get nice big home for ~$800k. Both SWEs. ~35 yrs old TC: ~$300k, household ~$450k Indian Anybody here made the move with family? How was your experience? Work locally or remotely?
East bay has homes in $1.2-$1.5M range
Commuting from east bay is a pain.
Why not Austin ? You have the same tech presence there ?
Too hot.
Which area in the bay area? You can afford $2M with your household TC... Houses in South Bay are more affordable
I own ~$2M home. But it’s small and old.
If you choose to go to the greater Denver area, try to avoid the areas with plutonium :/
What areas are those? Considering a move to Boulder for another company if I get an offer..
Look up the rocky flats contamination. There are houses being built right next to or right on top of possibly contaminated areas. Personally not comfortable with it.
Why not seattle?
