I'm in a lucky position where my investments are nearing 500k (should be there, hopefully, by the end of the year).
I'm using Wealthfront for majority of it. And started investigating what protection i have in case Wealthfront goes bust.
Looks like there is SIPC insurance that covers up to 500k.
Question: what is the strategy people are using when they are hitting this limit? Should I open an account with betterment/vanguard to maintain an excess over 500k? Any other ideas?
