Asana phone screen

Any idea of what phone screen will be on? Recruiter says it's not traditional leetcoode style of interview.

  • The interviewer spent 15 mins asking about my background. Then a few small snippets(5 to 6) asking what the output of it will be which took like 15 mins. Then one really complicated backtracking question(a modified version of Jigsaw puzzle) . I told the interviewer how to solve it which we both agreed. But I wasn’t sure if he was actually expecting me to solve it in the remaining 30 mins. I felt it was a lot of time to describe the approach and nearly impossible (atleast for me ) to implement it. I wrote the pseudo code. But got reject. So probably they were expecting more.

    It was very collaborative and the interviewer was professional.
