Hey guys so in a few days I have an interview with Airbnb for an internship with their iOS Team. It’s a 45 minute coding interview. The recruiter said that its highly reccomended that I code the solution in Swift but I havent actually tocuhed swift in quite awhile. I mean I have about 6 months professional experience in iOS Development & Swift and know a lot of the Swift specific concepts but over the past 9 months or so I’ve been coding in either Java or C++ do to a different internship I’ve had and school curriculum. So the Swift syntax isn’t very fresh in my mind. I typically like to solve coding problems in Java as thats the language I’m most comfortable with and can code a solution the quickest in. Do the engineers really care what language I solve the problem in. If I ask to do it in Java will it ruin any chances of being considered? Thanks!
Why don't you ask the recruiter?
