Hey everyone,
Any US citizens here move to Canada before? Is it even crazy to consider? What was the process like?
I’m born and raised in California but have grandparents in Canada that I’m really close with and want to spend more time with them on a long-term basis (like take care of them, etc.) instead of having to visit every year. I especially considered it because they live in Toronto and I can make it work from a professional/TC perspective.
However, I’ve never really dealt with immigration in my life. How hard is it to get Canadian PR for a US citizen + being a new grad? New grad part seems important because I think to get PR through Express Entry for skilled workers it’s based on YOE? Is there an easier way to get PR? And how does your job in Canada build into this?
Thanks so much!
