I've got 20+ years of experience, starting on the software testing side of the house, worked up to SDET, Manager, Director, VP. At the same time; learned SCRUM / Agile coaching, LEAN, Kanban. Write Statements of Work. Do recruiting, interviewing, hiring and firing. Travel 70%+ Successful engagements with many Fortune 100 & 500 companies 145k base (unchanged since 2012) Poorly defined bonuses Anyone else in a similar role? What do you make?
What is your total compensation?
Seems low to me. Location is important, but the travel diminishes it's importance. Is the company B2B or B2C? Annual Revenues? It all plays into the corporate calculator.
My last role was like that, and I got 350 in total comp (base bonus and equity).
I am not sure where you are based, but that has a lot to do with salary. For a VP in my area, 145k seems about average for base. Bonuses awarded anually based on company performance.
