Have the employees of companies which were acquired by VMware seen a salary bump after the acquisition? How about in other companies? Is it common for employees to see a salary bump when they get acquired by a bigger company?
VMware yes. Dell no. VMware tends to align job roles/levels and then make an effort to align comp if needed to match VMware levels if you don't meet the minimum.
It’s only been a few weeks, but so far no change to salary portion of comp. RSUs/bonus yes, but not salary.
Looks like we got our answers OP. Rip Pivotal 2019
Who are the 150 at Pivotal being let go? The only link I've seen is behind a Business Insider paywall
Workops, labs, other non R&D departments. Moral has been really low the past week given the layoffs and poor offers/offer timelines and unanswered questions.
Yes. Ex VMware acquired here
could you share the TC before and after the acquisition?
Not sure on how it will be for people coming from Pivotal... There is an obvious TC hike when moving from Start-up to Publicly traded company... Annual bonus RSU vs paper money
