h1b data gets the base salary for any job. when looking uo netflix which typically pays heavy base, i see 160k in the h1b salary data. Blind says netflix pays closer to 350k to 400k. Any idea of this discrepency?
H1Bs are paid less and denied GC as well.
So are u saying h1bs in Netflix only make 160k?
Lol
The data reported to USCIS is a lower bound of the actual base. They are not required to report exact value afaik.
I see.. This makes sense and may explain the gap
Why would someone pay 💰 more ? They are the cash cow for the corporate world
I shall write to Amazon and have them pay you 7.25 an hour.
The data you see for H1B is LCA. For LCA all they have to report is the salary range. They usually put the minimum salary there that would pass the required prevailing wage
Makes sense. I guess different companies have different rules then. Twitter for eg puts in the exact base salary
It's only base. TC is base + bonus+ signing bonus +equity
OP is talking about Netflix which is base heavy
Wow didn't know that. checked levels.fyi and can see only base specified in most of the TC, also h1bdata.info has 164,674 as Senior Software engineer salary for all the filings in 2019

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
What?
