Making 105k currently based out North Carolina with 8.5 YOE. with primary skillset - SSIS, SQL Server, ETL, Datawarehousing. other skillset - Unix,Oracle,GIT,ALM,JIRA,Agile, window batch scripting,Teradata, C#. what should be my salary expectation If I plan to switch? Am I underpaid as per market? P.S - Currently on H1b expecting I140 to get very soon.
ETL is generic what tools are you using? What datawarehiuse tools? You never mentioned it any of them involve Big Data.

Ergggg, may be difficult switching to some of the big name tech companies. Most of them are not on Microsoft data products. Mostly open source: ETL/workflow automation: Airflow, big data processing: Apache spark, Kafka, etc, warehouse: aws s3, redshift, etc. Luckily u probably know SQL well and Apache Spark SQL is not much different at all, just more so have to understand the concepts around Spark is processing the data. Also good to know Python, if you are looking for data roles, which seems like u are
105k is pretty good for NC. It’s much cheaper than Bay Area or Seattle.
