What’s does 10k/yr RSUs (3-year vest) mean ? Do you get $10k worth of stocks every year for 3 yrs ?
10k/yr RSUs (3-year vest) means every year you'll be issued 10k worth of stock. Each of these issuances will vest equally over 3 years. Let's say you were hired in January. T-Mobile issues RSUs in Feb, so here's what it would look like. - Year 0: Issued 10k, none vested (total $0) - Year 1: Issued 10k, vest 3.3k from year 0 (total $3.3k) - Year 2: Issued 10k, vest 3.3k from year 0 and 3.3k from year 1 (total $6.6k) - Year 3: Issued 10k, vest 3.3k from year 0, 3.3k from year 1 and 3.3k from year 2 (total $10k) - Year 4: Issued 10k, vest 3.3k from year 1, 3.3k from year 2 and 3.3k from year 3 (total $10k) - Year 5: Issued 10k, vest 3.3k from year 2, 3.3k from year 3 and 3.3k from year 4 (total $10k) - Year 6: Issued 10k, vest 3.3k from year 3, 3.3k from year 4 and 3.3k from year 5 (total $10k) - Etc...
