7.5 years at apple. Joined out of grad school What should my comp be? Current base - 155k Role - senior software Engineer in RF systems
Your comp is what you are offered in exchange for your skill.
Sorry. Not helpful.
Sorry. But the question is itself wrong. You should interview at other places to see if someone one is willing to pay you more. If so, then you are underpaid else that salary is where it should be.
170k
I was offered 155k with 105 rsu over 4 years and a 40k signing bonus from Apple for a data engineer position. 3 yoe.
You are underpaid at Apple too
What do you think would be a better base? Do u know anyone personally?
I completely agree with the google guy here. You are paid for (the perception of) your skill. That is very true at Apple as well. Other companies will pay you more if you leave as an incentive. But eventually, they too, will figure out how much you’re really worth and you’d get stuck there too. My advice is to work harder. And maybe pick up a book once in a while?
Agree with your suggestion.
Fair enough. Thanks.
Title is good but pay sucks

Use glass door...although not precise...it gives you a fair average!
Doesn’t tell me the right comp for someone in the company for few years.
For 7.5 years I would have planned to be further along my career...someone I know very well got offered 130k as a fresh grad with no previous industry experience as a software engineer...so u should be much further along...clearly!
