I’ve read salesforce doesn’t give RSU refreshers to most employees. If so, how do they keep their employees motivated? Do most people leave after 4 years?
They expect you to stay only for 4 years, RSU Grant to an employee means employer cares about employee by making him part of the company. No RSU means they don't want you to be part of the company.
Generally I agree. Salesforce doesn’t issue new stock to do grants, they buy back existing stock. This keeps the stock from diluting but also means the pool is smaller. Because of this that means that either everybody gets token grants or only the top talent get decent grants. I’ve gotten a grant every year but one so if works out for me but I can definitely see how it rubs people the wrong way.
The higher your title, the more chances that you get rsu refresh yearly. So if you're LMTS or below, you can still get it but you probably shouldn't count on it. If you're above, then chances are much higher. I heard that half of PMTS get yearly refreshers. I would imagine architects get it fairly regularly.
0 refresher, got 0 rsu when I joined, got a grant only after I became MTS from AMTS
Generally true .. I don’t think that more than 10% employee population gets rsu refreshers here .. not much for high performers .. good for low performers as yearly base increase and cash bonus is also nearly fixed and does not have lot of variables
I got a refresh after less than two years. I’m a manager level employee.
How much?
Refresh is only given to top preforms. It's not garenteed
