I have an offer from salesforce. The recruiter is saying that giving sign on bonus is against company policies. Is that true? Also I live in South Bay, what are the shuttle stops and how long does it take to commute one way to SF?
Lies
It is against policy if you are currently not employed as they are not trying to entice you away from another company.
RSU, yes, but with my limited data, I have yet to see sign on bonus offered by Salesforce. Shuttle is a hit or miss due to traffic congestion. Caltrain is much better I heard. I take BART.
I've heard of $25k signing bonuses not too long ago so this policy is new. This is probably a case of the recruiter lying.
When I joined I heard the same, I just renegotiated my signing bonus to increased Rsus... Care to share your numbers?
signing bonus is generally given to university hire and not to an experienced person.
Why do you think that is?
that's how salesforce does it. every one know Amazon pay huge sum
I got a 10k signing when I joined Salesforce 3 years ago. However they made it sound like the exception and not the rule. Having said that I know we offered a 50k sign on bonus to somebody not that long ago so I would say they are probably bending the truth a bit and you should push back
I got a salesforce signing bonus
if you have a competing offer with sign on they will give sign in bonus. you have to show a reason.
Well must be a recent policy because I haven't heard of it. PM for details about the shuttle. There are several stops in South Bay . Where do you live ?
