Hello everyone, I just finished Salesforce internship this summer and luckily I have an offer for AMTS. Between three options SF, Bellevue and Indy, My first pick is Bellevue, and I got a comp package as followed: 116k base (10% bonus), 85k rsu over 4 years, 20k signing bonus and 9k relo. My question is, do you think the offer reasonable? (among SFDC peers and to Big N companies offer). And recently my recruiter said the org wants me to stay in Indy for Marketing Cloud. Should I consider this as a leverage to ask for the same package in Indy, maybe negotiate for little bit more? And it is worth? I heard about opinions about MC on Blind, but from my experience being a UI dev for a MC team, it is not too bad. Manager and teammates are really nice also. Thank you so much for your input, I really appreciate it!
What is the offer for SF?
Take Bellevue if you want to save more (CoL to pay ratio is probably one of the best). Choose SF for fun/weather and being closer to action. Choose Indy if you want to buy a home or just chill (at least this is what I would do).
Leveraging an offer from another city won’t work because cost of living per geography is factored in for all offers. Overall Indianapolis has the lowest cost of living out of the SF, Bellevue and Dallas. In order to make the move lucrative to Bellevue or Dallas you’ll need about a $16,000 pay adjustment for your cost of living increase compared to Indianapolis.
Yes, you're making almost the same as me in HQ. Been at the company for around 4 yrs now.
