Hi All, Looking to work at Salesforce. Current background in customer success involving account management, digital marketing media assembly, email marketing, etc. (~ 1.5 years experience). Any tips/tricks to getting interviewed? Thanks
Which pays better? I'm in a straight sales role as my current employer, but Customers 4 Life sounds intriguing.
Sales roles will always pay better than CFL (account mgmt/ customer success)
sounds like you're less an account manager than an email marketer try customer success operations.
Salesforce reps burn out in six months, so enjoy your short stay there. They have plenty of openings in entry level sales roles. Also, since when did people start calling it customer success? You have a quota, just call yourself a sales rep.
I've been there for 3.5 years and this statement is false and sounds a little bitter. We have a variety of roles available for sales positions - core products, Marketing products etc. If you are more comfortable in customer success vs a straight sales role, then look for CFL (Customers For Life) roles that are available.
I've been surprised at how many Salesforce AEs have been around for 3+ years - as long as you do the right stuff, you'll be in good shape. We do definitely work hard, but a 6 month burnout is vey extreme.
