Interview went well and looks like they want to extend an offer. Any idea of how is the culture and projects in Salesforce infrastructure team. Are projects interesting ?? Do they have scaling / challenging issues to solve ?
Ditto
Explaining why would be of help.
Infrastructure is huge and is mostly full of msft people who have destroyed the culture. Which infra org you have interviewed for ? Also not everyone in infra is solving scaling problem, some just create certs for hosts ๐๐ They might have told you lots of bullshit on scaling, DCs, new plans, etc etc but once you will come, you will know what bullshit people are involved in. Also execs restructure it every 3-4 years when whatever they were promising on doesnโt get delivered.
explain how the culture should have been and how msft people destroyed it. Msft been my first employer after graduation and I wonder what other places are like.
Cmon thatโs a known fact that msft culture isnโt that great. I donโt need to explain it.
Yeah infrastructure is not that great at Salesforce. Scale is pretty small and with their tightening down security and 3 releases a year you are wasting your time if you indend to learn anything.
Which cloud? Infra is huge and is going through a major re-org and replanning. Lot of teams will likely get dissolved or reassigned. I'd be very careful in joining infra atm. Culturally infra is on the lower tier compared to other orgs at salesforce. If you are SMTS or below you likely won't feel it much- Just get ready to drink Ohana coolaid. Good luck.
Don't listen to these guys, Salesforce is a big company with big company culture and problems to solve. If you are getting hired to solve particular problems and your skill and background is valued then you will do fine. If you're getting hired as a code monkey then you'll probably be doing monkey work in a monkey org.

What a speech GUIB00, you being in okta know more than all of us replying from Salesforce. What is the purpose of blind then if a random person wants to give knowledge on things he/she donโt know at all.
I have been in Salesforce for over 6 years working both on the product side and the infra side. The culture and wlb changes depending on the team and the manager. Each side has its own pros and cons. If you do not like your team you can always move over to another team. Transfers are easy and encouraged. You will do just fine. Congratulations on your offer.
