Salesforce internal transfer
How long after joining can you transfer internally? And can your manager block it ? ( Transfer orgs in another state )
If engineering, OOM (opportunity open market) is three times a year where you can freely move to any team that wants you. Might look bad if you do to soon or often, but don't think there is a rule.
6 months and yes they can
I've heard of people transferring after 3 months, as far as I'm aware you're eligible for OOM immediately upon joining
I'm 1000% sure that there's this policy that you have to be in your current role for 1 year. Though current manager doesn't stop you even be6that but he can if he wants to. My then manager stopped me from moving and have me my release date after 3 months. My new manager couldn't do anything. Though later I convinced my manager to let me go after 1.5 months and moved on.
This is not in engineering through OOM though, right? Your manager can't block anyone from moving through OOM
How and when did you communicate about your new role to your current manager?
A difficulty of internal transfer is that current low-level manager spends a lot of time in finding ways to block. For example, accumulating so-called evidences to show everywhere that you did poorly in communication even if it's known that your technical side is pretty strong. How do deal with this kind of BullShit? getting competitive offers from outside companies seems to be much easier than dealing with this kind of managers. Is it a simple solution to just leave the company, or still make some effort to continue meeting other teams and also talk with ES?
Does this happen at Salesforce?
I don't think so this happens a lot. I have seen lot of collegues moving to different teams.
Does Salesforce allow international transfers with visa sponsorship?
What is the policy as of 2022? Can the engineers have an internal transfer from India to the USA?
