Hello Folks, I interviewed with Salesforce a month back for a Senior Software Engineer position and was offered the position of Software Engineer (MTS) instead. I was offered a TC of 160K (YOE: 4)which seemed to be pretty low to me and hence turned down the offer. The reason for not matching the offer to my expectation was the fact that hiring manager wanted to keep a pay balance between a new hire and existing team members. But now I feel that I should interview again with Salesforce. My interview experience was great and I did like the culture there. I am quite not sure if I can interview again with Salesforce? If yes, anyone here willing to provide me a referral for Salesforce?
Doesn't make sense to apply a month after you rejected their offer. Do you want to apply to a different position or team? Btw plenty of good high paying companies out there
You can just ask for your old offer back. They probably have infinite headcount
Levels and compensation at Salesforce for a new hire are almost always decided based on the interview performance. If you hit the ball out of the park and the panel thought we needed to hire you yesterday, they will be more open to negotiations. If you are a candidate that got mostly maybe and a couple of strong hire, then they do want to see how you will perform on the job before giving you a raise and taking you to the higher end of the pay scale
I didn’t have a problem reinterviewing after rejecting a sfdc offer. Interviewed for another group and another position and got a higher level and much higher TC. It was more than a year between the two interviews though. Turned out great. 160 does seem a bit low even for MTS though, so maybe this group wasn’t super excited about you.
TC seems low. Which geographic location are you interviewing for?
SFDC
SFDC used by almost the entire org. Is the job in San Francisco?
4 years of experience, this sounds right to me...You are not the next tier...160 base is pretty solid if they gave good stock along with it.
160 was TC not the base. Had it been the case, I would have considered myself lucky and happily accepted the offer.
Break down your TC? Interviewing again should not be a problem. Infact it can work in favor if the earlier feedback was good, yet the offer was low
That's abysmally low. I'm currently an MTS (with 1 YOE) and my TC is 225k. What team was this offer from?
How did u get such a high offer ? What is the offer for a freshers after masters ?
Also what org r u in ?
Am expecting offer, let’s see what they offer me
@99994 what did they offer?
If you just refused an offer it’ll be hard for them to trust you. Hiring is very expensive and I believe they’ve lost money with you already. At these low levels (4 yoe) not sure they’ll make an exception. Unless you clearly stated you were applying for an STSM position and not MTS
I see. Taking the role of MTS was not a problem for me, but accepting such a low TC wouldn't have made any sense for me. The position description was very general and it mentioned that they were hiring for roles including senior mts/mts/associate mts.
Chances are they’d offer you a similar TC if you were to re-apply tomorrow... salesforce doesn’t pay well compared to a lot of other companies in the city
