Hi salesforce folks How much (range) does a PMTS make TC per year? I think the range will be pretty wide, just wanted some idea. Also, I have heard salesforce doesn't give RSU refreshers but do they make an exception with principals?
Buddy I am talking about faang companies here, with 100k or more of RSU refresher given every year in those companies for good performers the employee situation is much different there.
Principals in my group make 400+ TC, but that’s due to stock appreciation too. A large percentage of principal engineers do get refreshes of 80 to 100k a year. Internal blind said something like 80% of principals do get refreshes and nearly all the architects. I think the people that do get refreshes just aren’t complaining on blind. We don’t have as many engineers as FAANG and most are older people. All the leads and some senior engineers make over 300k too. So 300 to 400 isn’t really that crazy.

Anecdote for you, I’m a Principal on 240 base, 20% bonus, 250/4 for TC of ~350. I know that’s near top of band at least on the base for a Principal. I just took a Staff offer in FAANG for ~500.
Did you get 250 RSUs after becoming principal? Or is it all accumulated over time. Are refreshers common at that level?
My initial grant was 250/4. I received multiple cash spot bonuses throughout the year (totaling about 50k) but no refresher. I’ve decided to leave salesforce so I don’t know if I would have received a refresher or not. I did sit through the RSU refresh meeting and the guidance was that the department had received a set amount of RSU $$ to be divided up at VP discretion (those without grants left first, discretionary refreshes used if any remain).

From my data points, new LMTS can be 300K+ but hard to reach $350K. After a few years RSU appreciation, it can be more. Sadly the refresh is tiny, so hard to justify a stay after initial grants are all vested.
I'm a PMTS with $400k+ TC. It's not that unusual especially with stock appreciation over the past few years. No refreshers ever despite strong performance. Just negotiated well when I joined. Heard of a few new hires coming in last year with $450k-500k TC, with competing offers from FAANG. Planning to quit soon after my initial grant fully vests. There is no sense in sticking around after a $100k+ drop in comp, and the refreshers I'm expecting this time around will not be enough to keep me here unfortunately. Pretty sure I can land 500k-600k elsewhere.
Did u change the job? How much are u earning now?
I am no principal but according to what I read in the Salesforce private channel of blind, more principals get refreshers than the lower positions although not all principal get it. The range in salary is wide for principal it can go from 300k TC to 400 K easily I guess.
