Anyone know of a good coding bootcamp in the San Diego area? Context: Mechanical Engineer looking to make the switch to Software
I know a few people who went through LEARN. Some were involved with running the program after. They all turned out all right.
If you graduated within the past two years look into Capital One CODA.
Thanks, I’ll look into it! Do you know if they have a program available in San Diego? Or would it involve relocation?
Relocation for a job but they give a 10K signing bonus

Guys who don’t work out: why?
I did Bloc online. Also was mech eng. If you can, do your bootcamp while working
What are your thoughts on Bloc? Do you think it is worth the money for what you get compared to a free online camp?
Bloc was ok, when I did it was like $19k. It's much cheaper now I believe. I think it was ok. Their mentors are good, their projects are good too. I didn't do a free online bootcamp, but I can see that being harder if you don't have mentorship. If you can get your hands on a curriculum, maybe you can do that at your own pace
