What to do with a 6 and 7 year old when visiting San Diego - besides Legoland, SeaWorld and Safari?
PACIFIC BEACH FTW!!!
Drive to Disneyland.
Hookers and blow
Del Mar beach and Encinitas beach; both are very nice and I prefer than La Jolla beach or PB. If you are visiting Safari Park in Escondido during the day, you can come from Escondido to Oceanside and then drive south to Encinitas and the Del Mar. Solana Beach, just north of Del Mar and Cardiff by the Sea are also nice. Balboa park is a nice place to walk around within SD and San Diego zoo is located in Balboa Park (you will get discounted prices if you buy the combo of zoo and safari park tickets). You can take a evening cruise from SD harbor area and enjoy the sunset from the ferry ride. Point Loma is a nice area from where you get beautiful views of SD coastline.

What else do you need after all that joy??? đ donât forget nap time.
Check out Aquatica in Chula Vista, itâs a water park with some amazing slides! I highly recommend it

Balboa Park and the Zoo are great choices. Coronado/Del Mar/Mission Beach/La Jolla are good choices for beaches
Donât go to Legoland. 7 years old is maybe still okay, but definitely by 8 theyâve outgrown it. I would say that target age is 4-6yo unless your kid is immature for their age. Either way, as a parent be prepared to be so bored that you want to poke your eyeballs out. They charge you like $70 each for adult tickets and everything that is even mildly entertaining inside the park costs extra. My son (now 11) was a lego fanatic. We took him when he was ~6 and he had fun, but wasnât interested in going back.
The beach
Thanks. Is La Jolla beach good, or some other beach?
Either pacific beach or La Jolla shores.
