Asking sap/ ex sap folks…any experience getting your bonus if you quit in Jan? Before the bonus is actually paid? Did you get a percentage? Though company says you may be eligible if you work the full year I wonder what’s the motivation for managers to allot the pool to you since you are gone anyways…
It really depends on when the bonuses are entered in the system. If you quit on Jan 1, you will get **a bonus** but it will be at the lowest level that they can pay it out (60-80%). If you wait until the bonuses are in success factors you will get a more appropriate amount.
Is it for India as well?
Yes
But the notice period is 60days. So If you resign on November and have last working day on Jan 1, will you get bonus? Asking for a friend.
Resign after Feb 20'th
why is that? I thought the bonus is paid out in your last pay check in March.
I am ex SAP INDIA. policy is clear, if you leave before Dec 31- zero bonus
If your last day is jan1, how do you get paid? Is it in full n final?
If you quit before Dec 31 in the US, do you also forfeit your bonus? Or can a manager decide to prorate your bonus? Anybody know?
Yes
The date that counts is whether you were an employee on 12/31 or not. If so, you are eligible to a bonus payment at your manager’s discretion.
In India I guess it’s all with management hands, most of the folks won’t get it since they left the team , and that amount is adjusted to other team members
No you have to be on payroll on the day it's paid which is March 15 or 30
Incorrect. You are eligible for bonus if you are with the company on 12/31 of the prior year. It is another question if a manager will give you the bonus, but you don’t have to be on payroll the day it is paid.
