As a current or an aspiring employee at either Google or Microsoft, what do you know about visions of your CEO that excites you to work? any datapoints or traits of these huge personalities that you truly adore and look up to? what creates that drive that keeps you going?
Bezos
Satya for sure.
I am a long long term MS consumer and enterprise products user. I can speak with confidence that MS products are shit now. Satya is doing nothing but replacing prior MS enterprises product with Azure. The MS stock appreciation is a wall street trick.
And while that is at least a modicum of a strategy to make the company more relevant in the cloud era, what have we heard from Sundar so far that is anything beyond 'thoughtful'.
The real American hero visionary is Elon
Satya Pichai. It's me. DM me for acquisitions.
Both are mediocre when it comes to technical vision and execution. No one is going to put them next to Elon, Bezos, Gates or Jobs. But Satya is good salesman and knows how to jack up the revenues even with mediocre products he inherited while Sundar is clueless about making sales even with good products he inherited. The quality and experience of Google Search has gone down the drain since Pitchai took over while MS products has managed to stay mostly stale like it is 2005. So between two mediocre guys, Satya does win for not degrading further what he inherited.

What in particular do you find exciting about his vision?
SJWs have taken over Google. They can't innovate anymore.
