Hi, looking for Blind inputs. I had prepped for PM interviews for 6 months and very happy and shocked that I received multiple offers.

Workday
Role: P4 Sr. Product Manager
Base: 170k
Bonus: 10% of base
RSUs: 225k over 4 years (25/25/25/25)
Refreshers: recruiter mentioned 40-60% of initial grant. Recruiter quoted 90k over 4 years as refresher next April.
Sign on: wasn't offered but is this negotiable?
TC: 243k. Y2: 265k is what the recruiter quoted.

AWS - was told max, no more room for negotiation.
Role: L6 Sr. Product Manager
Base: 165k
Sign-on: 210k (over two years)
RSUs: ~300k (5/15/40/40)
TC: 295k first year, 300k second year
This is the highest offer in terms of comp by far.

Microsoft Azure
Role: L63 Sr. Product Manager
Base: 160k
Bonus: 0-30% so assume 15%?
Sign-on: 40k (over 2 years)
RSUs: 180k
TC: 249k. Refreshers are peanuts?

Salesforce
Role: Product Manager
Base: 180k
Bonus: 15%
RSUs: 55k for 4 years (was shocked at this number)
TC: ~221k
Not really a contender since it's a down-level.

My current ranking is

1. AWS
2. Workday
3. MSFT

Based on comp + scope, but worried about AWS notorious wlb. Looks like the offered AWS L6 scope is pretty large vs the rest.

Yoe: 8 (4 in PM, 4 in PS)
Current TC: 180k base (+ worthless options)

  • Take it from someone who works closely with Sr. Product Manager in Azure space. Your WLB will be all over the places and between different time zone and you will be thin-stretch between different teams. You work more than your pay.
Better go for AWS in term of pay and Workday for WLB

Thanks that helps! Also had the best recruiting exp at Workday so they are def a contender. Sounds like Workday also has good refreshers.

Anything between AWS and Microsoft Azure. Microsoft might have better WLB I guess. Congratulations on all your offers

Thanks! Are you in AWS? How is the quality of PM at AWS? Especially at L6 level

The salesforce offer is a complete joke.

If you've ever used Workday you would know how trash it is. For a PM that could mean big opportunity and impact but I doubt it for someone coming in cold.

    That leaves AWS I suppose.

I think you are referring to Workday HCM. I am in a different org and I think the product in that org is pretty solid. Why not MSFT?

Are you in some non HCOL location? Because Amazon should negotiate more. See levels.fyi and other blind posts, I assume there’s another 50kish gap between yours and top of band.

Did you negotiate further with MS? Is this the max they offered?
