Scalable system design conference

What are some of the good tech conferences that focus on distributed scalable system design

Looking beyond Google I/O, Build, WWDC. I came across @Scale, however that is only by invitation and have no idea what is coming up in future.

A simple bing search (no trolls pls) shows up nothing. Ideas?

Same could be said about most conferences which is why I don’t understand why you’d go to a conference to learn about something you could read in a book or learn online.

There are some real-world scenarios like how a billion video views was implemented at scale at FB unavailable in books/online. The videos at some events are shared only with the registered attendees.

I'm more interested in the organic decision making process of how a system was developed vs here is the end-design (which is what books do for the most part)
