Screwed up hackerrank test. Does it matter if I finish completely and submit ?
Should I bother with completing the take home and sending it to the recruiter after the timer expired ? Would I miraculously get an on-site ? Recently failed salesforce

For which company? Usually companies use hackerrank to filter because they don't want to spend engineers time to do phone interviews. They just use hackerrank's test cases as a standard.
