Things like that became a consistent experience. Not to mention crazies screaming at all hours of night.
This was about 5 years ago and I assume things have only gotten worse.
I'd recommend living near Northgate. I lived in greenwood for a bit and loved it. Plenty of space, cheaper rent, walking distance to green lake. Also only a couple min to North gate park and ride for an easy bus ride in to the city
If Seattle is your top choice then ask the leasing agents for current deals. You may get good discount for signing a longer lease or something.
Other option is to lease from owners directly. I've found owners to be more flexible with the rent prices.
