  Rainy doesn’t matter much, you get used to that. It’s the lack of sunny days that makes everyone depressed. Austin wins by a longshot on weather even with the heat.

I live in Austin, been here 7 years and it's just insane now. I'd love to GTFO and move to Seattle, but tied here for a while. It's unbearably hot ~8 months out of the year, mosquitoes year round, cedar allergies year round, high humidity, COL has skyrocketed the last couple of years with everyone moving here, traffic is awful all day long... It's just not that great anymore IMO. They've also torn down so many places that were original and unique to Austin to build bland and overpriced condos.
