I have some twitter stock. Should I sell them at market price when trading window opens (for lower than $54.2) or wait for Elon to buy at $54.2? The answer seems simple, but I don't know if Elon has to pay me $54.2 to everyone or if he can choose to pay less once he has acquired more than 51% shares.
it's as close to as you'll get out of your holdings. might as well free up some capital for alternative investments
Keep it and get cash.
Will there be final shareholder vote? What happens if I don’t accept the tender offer and keep my shares when it is private? Do I still get dividends? Where do I trade my stocks once it is private? Many questions here.
It’s not a tender offer. Your shares will be automatically sold at 54.20 when/if the deal is final. What dividends?
Oh, not even a tender offer? How are the employees reacting? Wouldn’t it be discouraging to work for a company that has no stock increase potential if it goes private?
Twitter trading below bid price is not an arbitrage opportunity but lack of confidence for the deal. Worth selling.
