After pushing and pulling for two weeks, my attorney finally received the contract. We reviewed and sent back for seller review with updates and questions. Now, the seller is all of a sudden "not motivated" to sell. Not willing to change their attorney even after knowing how slow it has been. I guess I am SOL? Lost so much time, good rates, inspection, private lender (pre-approval), and attorney fees. Getting the buyer fatigue already. #housing
Do they want more money?
That's the other thing, they didn't say exactly what the issue is. Nothing about what's in the contract or if they want more $$$.
Usually not motivated is clear code for wanting more money.
Did you give 3pc advance?
The amount for the escrow account? No, that's supposed to come after both parties have signed the contract which hasn't happened.
You have to walk away then I guess. Nothing can happen
Your real estate agent messed it up. There should be something signed with contingencies for inspection, financing etc. That locks the seller in, but allows the buyer opportunity to back out if inspection or financing doesn’t work out.
Since nothing signed seller can do what they want. Try to offer some more money and see if they will sign the contract
Fire your Real Estate agent. They obviously have no clue what they’re doing.

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Are you under contract? If you are he can’t back out, if you’re not why did you do inspections etc
No under contract. Offer was accepted, then inspection was done. The contract was received recently. The agent pushed for inspection ASAP the offer was accepted.
I don’t understand this is weird.. offer accepted == under contract. Was it just verbally accepted? Never do anything unless seller signs the contract
